There are rides you take… and rides that change lives.
Right now, one rider is taking on something extraordinary.
Rich Easton is circling Australia, over 16,000 km, on his Kawasaki KLR650. But this isn’t just about the open road, long horizons, or the thrill of the ride. This journey carries something far more powerful.
It’s for his dad, Frank.
Frank Easton passed away in 2024 after complications from a stroke. He spent his life inspiring others, first in the Artillery helping young soldiers learn to read and write, then guiding students as a physics teacher, opening minds to the possibilities of science.
Now, Rich is continuing that legacy.
Every kilometre of this ride is dedicated to raising funds for the Neurological Foundation of New Zealand, with a clear goal: to support Summer Studentships that bring bright young minds into neurological research. Because the next breakthrough starts with inspiration, and the right opportunity.
Frank believed in sparking curiosity. In helping others discover what they’re capable of. This mission carries that belief forward, helping future researchers tackle the 700+ neurological conditions that affect millions of lives.
And as Rich rides, his dad rides with him, on every stretch of road, every sunrise, every mile.
