Empire Kawasaki rider Taylah McCutcheon has claimed second overall at the 2024 FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup in New Zealand.
On her Kawasaki KX250, McCutcheon managed a consistent performance across the three motos, claiming fourth, second, and first.
The event which took place in Woodville, located around 170km North of the country’s capital, saw Team Australia take on Team New Zealand.
Team Australia was comprised of Taylah McCutcheon, Charli Cannon, Emma Milesevic, Madison Brown, Taylor Thompson, and Madi Healey.
A last-minute re-shuffle saw Karaitiana Horne, Taylar Rampton, Breanna Rodgers, Hannah Powell, Letitia Alabaster and Melissa Patterson step up to the gate for Team New Zealand.
Kawasaki’s four-time FIM women’s motocross world champion Courtney Duncan was also on hand for the Kiwis.
The women raced in three motos over the weekend, comprised of 12-minute plus one-lap races.
As Team Australia managed to bag the lowest overall score throughout these races, they were crowned champions of the event.
