Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki’s Taylah McCutcheon has wrapped up an incredible season at the final round of the 2025 ProMX Championship at Queensland Moto Park (QMP), securing 2nd Overall in the MXW Class and locking in 2nd in the Championship standings!
Riding the powerful KX250, McCutcheon’s season was marked by blistering speed, unwavering consistency, and multiple podium finishes that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Final Round Drama & Determination
The final round wasn’t without its challenges. A tough start in the opening MXW Moto saw McCutcheon buried in the pack, but she dug deep and charged through the field to finish 3rd at the chequered flag. In Moto 2, a stronger start allowed her to battle in the lead group, ultimately crossing the line in 2nd place. Her 3-2 moto finishes earned her 2nd Overall for the round and sealed her runner-up spot in the Championship.
“I’m thrilled to be standing here with 2nd in the MXW Championship,” said McCutcheon.
“After coming back from my injury last season, this completes my first full Championship in two years and I’m so proud to have been consistent all year to reward myself, Empire Kawasaki and all of our sponsors.”
MX1 & MX2: Highs, Lows & Heart
The final round also delivered intense moments for Empire Kawasaki teammates Rhys Budd and Luke Clout.
In MX1, Clout was involved in a dramatic start-line crash in Moto 1, with his bike launched into the air before landing on him. He was immediately taken to Racesafe for evaluation and, thankfully, cleared of major injuries. However, the incident sidelined him for the rest of the day.
Meanwhile, Rhys Budd showed grit in MX2, finishing 6th in Moto 1. A tough second moto saw him battling from the back to finish 13th, earning 9th Overall for the round.
A Season to Remember
From comeback stories to podium battles, Empire Kawasaki’s 2025 ProMX campaign was packed with emotion, resilience, and racing excellence. The team now looks ahead to a strong Supercross Season.
