The new-look JPM 360 Kawasaki team also made its ProMX debut at Wonthaggi, with Jayce Cosford delivering consistent results across both motos (15-18), while Ryan Alexanderson impressed with a strong charge to 5th in Moto 2 after a 17th in Moto 1.
Deegan Rose showed determination to bounce back from a Moto 1 DNF and finish 20th in Moto 2, highlighting the team’s resilience across the day.
Taylah McCutcheon aboard her KX250 was the leading Australian in the MXW category as the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup brought together some of the top female riders from around the world, with McCutcheon impressing with a P3 finish in moto one on her way to P4 overall.
“I couldn’t be prouder of the team, from the riders to the mechanics and everyone behind the scenes. New team, new season, and we’ve already shown we’re genuine title contenders in both MXW and MX2.
Taylah rode exceptionally well, grabbing the holeshot in moto one and delivering consistent results across all three races to walk away 2nd in the championship standings. Ryan showed strong pace, especially with a solid second moto, but he’s hungry for more.
Jayce showed great speed early on, but with only two weeks on the bike and coming back from shoulder reconstruction, it made it tough to push on a gnarly track like Wonthaggi. Deegan rode well in his first MX2 appearance, especially after getting taken down in both motos — a tough introduction to the class.
Overall, we’re stoked. The riders are healthy, the bikes were unreal, and the team is building momentum. Bring on Round 2 in Canberra.” JPM MX Developments owner Jed Parsons
