Daniel Fraser Opens 2026 Season with Strong Dirt Track Showing

Daniel Fraser has launched his 2026 campaign with a return to dirt track racing, marking his third consecutive year using the discipline to prepare for the Reliability Trials season.

Racing at Mud’nTars MCC on the South Coast, Fraser enjoyed ideal conditions for the opening round, with warm temperatures and clear skies. Strong entries in both the Pro 450 and All Powers classes highlighted a healthy start to the season.

After a heavy crash last year, Fraser made key suspension changes to his Kawasaki KX450X, stiffening both rebound and compression to improve stability. The adjustments proved effective, with Fraser feeling comfortable and competitive from the outset.

Competing in both classes across four rounds of five laps, Fraser delivered a consistent performance throughout the day. He secured multiple strong starts, including holeshots in both classes, and remained a front-runner in every race. His results reflected that consistency, finishing with 2-2-2-2 in Pro 450 and 2-2-2-1 in All Powers.

Fraser also noted clear progress compared to last season, closing the gap to the leading rider and staying within contention through to the final laps.

While acknowledging that a more specialised dirt track setup could further improve performance, Fraser remains focused on Reliability Trials. The event provided valuable race intensity and a strong start to his 2026 season.
