Throup Joins Team as Tremaine Secures Strong Start at Tarlee Setting Tone for Season

The team has bolstered its 2026 lineup with the addition of Riley Throup, who will contest the J3 class in the SA Offroad Championship aboard a KX250F. His inclusion expands the squad’s reach across both junior and senior ranks ahead of a busy season.

The opening round of the SA Reliability Trials at Tarlee delivered a tough introduction to competition, with a six-hour day/night format testing Zack Tremaine's endurance and machine reliability. The event featured seven special tests linked by public roads, with competitors required to complete two laps without outside assistance while managing their own fuel and equipment.

Challenging conditions throughout the day, ranging from tight scrub and rocky creek beds to fast, open sections, were made even more demanding by intermittent rain. A strong opening stint positioned Tremaine well inside the top group, sitting fourth after the first lap with times closely contested.

As darkness fell, consistent pace across all seven sections ensured a solid finish, securing fourth place outright and narrowly missing the podium by just 26 seconds.

Attention now turns to the next reliability trial at Truro on May 23, before the full team lines up for its first combined appearance at Rounds 1 and 2 of the SA Offroad Championship in Renmark on May 30–31. With preparations well underway, the team is shaping up for a competitive start to the championship campaign.
