Joel Cigliano kicked off the first round of the Australian Supercross Championship in Townsville, Queensland, with a solid performance, qualifying 13th on a technical track before finishing seventh in his heat and ninth in the final.
Cigliano felt comfortable with the challenging track layout, which closely resembled his regular practice facility. His familiarity with the technical conditions helped him find his rhythm throughout the night.
His Kawasaki KX450 performed faultlessly from start to finish, providing a reliable package as he pushed hard in both races. Cigliano was also pleased with his fitness, maintaining his intensity and racing strongly through to the chequered flag in both outings.
Looking ahead to the next rounds, Cigliano will be focusing on improving his starts to give himself a better opportunity to run further up the field and challenge for stronger results.
