PENRITE RACING EMPIRE KAWASAKI SECURES FOURTH AND EIGHTH IN AUCKLAND

Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki has completed Round 2 of the 2026 Australian Supercross Championship in Auckland with Cédric Soubeyras claiming fourth overall in SX1, while teammate Ryan Alexanderson secured eighth.

North Harbour Stadium hosted the championship’s return to New Zealand on Saturday, 31 October, with a Triple Crown format providing three finals for both riders aboard their Kawasaki KX450s.

Soubeyras began the afternoon fifth fastest in combined qualifying, recording a 51.733-second lap before delivering a strong second-place finish behind Ken Roczen in Heat 2. The result earned the Frenchman a place in the six-rider Superpole session, where he finished fourth with a 51.658-second lap.

When racing got underway, Soubeyras finished fourth in the opening final, crossing the line just 2.788 seconds behind third-placed Luke Clout. Fifth in Final 2 kept him in contention for fourth overall, before another fourth-place finish in the final race secured the position.

His consistent 4–5–4 scorecard delivered 52 points for the round, finishing two points ahead of Aaron Tanti and behind the overall podium of Roczen, Christian Craig and Clout.

Alexanderson also produced a consistent evening for Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki. The #63 qualified ninth fastest with a 54.967-second lap before finishing fifth in Heat 2 to advance directly to the finals.

Three ninth-place finishes earned Alexanderson 36 points and eighth overall, completing the team’s Auckland campaign with both riders inside the SX1 top eight.
Following his second overall at the Townsville opener, Soubeyras provisionally sits third in the championship on 94 points, six behind Clout and 22 behind leader Craig. Alexanderson provisionally moves into sixth on 63 points. These totals are calculated from the published round points, with the updated official championship standings still pending.

Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki now returns to Australia for Round 3 at Geelong’s GMHBA Stadium on Saturday, 7 November.
