Continuously variable transmission (CVT) offers very smooth response, facilitating vehicle operation. This contributes to the smooth power delivery—especially from start to 32 km/h. Thanks to carefully tuned engine settings, the CVT belt catch and release is extremely smooth and natural, and ensures that the belt stays engaged until almost completely stopped, contributing to reassuring engine braking on downhill slopes.

A choice of Work, Normal, and Sport modes allows drivers to set power delivery to suit preference and conditions. The milder throttle response offered by Work mode contributes to superb low-speed control when carrying a load and facilitates maintaining a constant low speed using minimal throttle even when driving on an uneven surface. In Sport mode, the sharper, more linear throttle response suits sportier driving. Normal mode offers a balance between the two, offering smooth engine response from the time the throttle is opened.

Electrically selectable 4WD and rear differential lock allow drivers to quickly and easily switch between drive systems to suit changing terrain and applications while on the go. Locking the rear differential causes the rear wheels to act as a single axle, ensuring maximum traction when riding in muddy or snowy conditions.

High 320 mm ground clearance reduces the chances of the RIDGE scraping its bottom, translating to greater accessibility whether at work or at play, and contributing to superb ride comfort.

27” large-diameter tyres and 14” aluminium wheels contribute to the RIDGE’s excellent off-road capability. Machined finishing along the wheel spokes calls attention to the height of the tyres, contributing to a tough, durable image.

At 880 mm long and with a 453 kg (1,000 lbs) cargo bed capacity, the RIDGE’s flat cargo bed has plenty of room to carry work equipment or recreation gear.  The tailgate can be removed without tools.

The RIDGE’s roomy cabin offers the shoulder and legroom for three people to comfortably sit side-by-side. The bench seat features contoured seating for the driver and right-side passenger. Ample legroom for all is complemented by a lever-adjustable driver’s seat and tilt steering, allowing the driver to fine-tune their position for control and comfort. EPS is standard. Sliding behind the wheel feels like getting into a car—from the natural sitting position to the position of the steering wheel and controls.

Storage space abounds in the RIDGE. Three covered compartments in the dashboard provide enclosed storage for small items: a lidded compartment above the dashboard centre console (on non-HVAC models), passenger-side glove box, and another lidded compartment above the glove box.

A DC socket in the dashboard provides power for accessories, and two USB ports are available inside the lidded storage above the glove box.

Addition storage space is available behind the seats and under the passenger seats.

 

Factory-standard full cab comes complete with heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), creating a comfortable escape from the heat in summer and the cold in winter. On 2025 models, improved HVAC performance, a windshield with UV and IR-cut glass, and roof insulation add to more effective temperature management in the cabin.

In addition to vehicle management and maintenance features, Kawasaki’s Powersports-exclusive RIDEOLOGY app offers the ability to record and share trips, contributing to an enhanced off-roading experience.

A roof and doors are standard on all models, adding to the premium quality feel. The doors feature both exterior and interior latches—and, on full-cab models, electric power windows. The high quality automotive-style dashboard and controls are further enhanced by high-grade fit & finish details like floor lighting, backlit switches and decorative components.

Complementing its rugged, sporty styling, the RIDGE’s premium exterior includes painted fenders and all-LED lighting. The front headlights’ line-type LED position lights create a fierce expression, backed up by a large aluminium Kawasaki emblem on the front grille and a solid-looking steel front bumper.
