Kawasaki supported rider, Meg Rutledge, swapped her personal training apparel for riding gear on the weekend to take on the best in class at rounds 5 & 6 of the Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC).
Meg decided to dust off the boots for the first race in 3 years and her first ever off-road event.
"With very little bike time and not much preparation due to being sick in the weeks leading up to the event, I definitely surprised myself," stated Meg.
"With fourteen test sprints in one day, my body was definitely feeling it for the last couple of sprints so I had to knock it back a gear just to make it to the finish safely."
Meg has historically been a motocross and supercross rider on the Kawasaki KX250.
"Coming away with 2nd in the Women's AORC class and NSW Off roads class on Saturday was very satisfying," said Meg "unfortunately my weekend was cut short and I did not compete on Sunday due to not being able to get my asthma/sickness under control late Saturday afternoon. Overall I had a really great weekend and love being back at the races."
